GAC Group has officially announced its entry into the Moroccan market, hosting a brand launch event in Casablanca on July 8 in partnership with local automotive group M-AUTOMOTIV. For the Moroccan market, GAC will initially launch three SUV models covering three mainstream scenarios: urban commuting, fuel-efficient family use and long-distance premium travel. It will offer gasoline, hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrains to meet diverse consumer needs, with highly targeted market positioning.

GAC Enters Moroccan Market with Three Initial SUV Models

Among the lineup, the EMZOOM compact urban SUV targets young consumers. It is powered by a 1.5TGDI turbocharged gasoline engine paired with a 7WDCT transmission, delivering 174 horsepower and 270 N·m of peak torque. It comes standard with L2 ADAS and a new-generation in-vehicle infotainment system, matching the preferences of local young buyers. The entry into Morocco marks an important step in GAC’s expansion into the African market, further completing its global overseas footprint.
