FAW-Volkswagen Teases New EV Based on ID. AURA Concept
FAW-Volkswagen has released teaser images of a brand-new all-electric model, which largely carries over the design language of the previously unveiled ID. AURA Concept Car. Positioned as a compact all-electric sedan, the new model is expected to adopt Volkswagen’s CEA electronic and electrical architecture, promising upgraded performance in intelligent cockpit and advanced driving assistance. The front end features a highly recognizable full-width light strip with the Volkswagen logo at its center, paired with a large through-type grille below, creating a wide visual stance aligned with mainstream EV design trends.

Details of the side profile and rear end remain scarce for now, but the teasers already reveal several highlights. The new car will be equipped with semi-flush door handles and frameless doors, a premium configuration that enhances its coupé-like silhouette and stands out in its segment. The rear is expected to follow the concept car’s design, featuring a full-width taillight assembly and a slightly raised small rear spoiler for a sporty touch. Overall, the production model retains most core design elements of the concept without excessive compromises, and is expected to appeal to young consumers upon its official debut.
