BMW M New Class Concept Makes China Debut with High-Performance E-Drive
On October 11, the BMW M New Class Concept made its China debut at the 2026 BMW M Motorsport Carnival. As a pure electric high-performance concept car, it outlines the future direction of BMW M’s model lineup and marks the M division’s full embrace of electrification. The vehicle retains the signature muscular M styling, with wide wheel arches and powerful shoulder lines that convey a poised, ready-to-pounce stance, far from the subdued look of ordinary electric vehicles.

Its aerodynamic details are infused with racing DNA. Hood vents, exclusive M aerodynamic side mirrors, a floating diffuser and a ducktail spoiler work together to optimize airflow and downforce, combining visual appeal with real performance gains. The most distinctive feature is the striking yellow light units, inspired by GT racing cars and the BMW M Hybrid V8 race car livery, translating track heritage into an iconic visual signature for future BMW M models. Paired with the BMW M eDrive high-performance electric drive system, the concept makes clear BMW’s ambition to carry over M’s signature driving pleasure into the electric era.
