Volkswagen Enters Kazakhstan Market, Sales to Start in August
On July 17, Robert Cisek, CEO of Volkswagen Passenger Cars Brand China, announced via social media that Volkswagen has officially entered the Kazakhstan market. In August, the brand will officially kick off local sales in partnership with official dealer Orbis Auto. This marks another key milestone in Volkswagen’s export strategy following its entry into Uzbekistan this June.

To match local user demand, Volkswagen has curated an initial lineup of best-selling models from the Chinese market: the Bora, Magotan, Tayron and Talagon, along with Jetta brand models VA7, VS7 and VS8, covering mainstream family sedan and SUV segments. A notable takeaway is that Volkswagen China is no longer only responsible for production and sales in the domestic market. Leveraging its R&D and manufacturing strengths built in China, it has become a core hub for Volkswagen’s expansion into Central Asia and other international markets, marking a clear shift in its role.
