BYD officially announced on July 20 that the Seal 05 DM-i has launched in Mexico under the local name BYD KING. Following the launch of the Yuan Pro DM-i in April this year, this is BYD’s second hybrid model in the Mexican market and a key step in the brand’s deepening presence in Latin America.

Equipped with BYD’s fifth-generation DM-i super hybrid technology, the model delivers a combined NEDC range of up to 1,680 km. Inside, it features a 15.6-inch rotating touchscreen with support for Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Google Gemini voice assistant, fully adapted to local user habits. The long range and low fuel consumption of DM-i hybrid technology align perfectly with driving conditions and user demand in Latin American markets, making it BYD’s core advantage for overseas expansion.
