GAC’s Flagship Hybrid S7 Launches in Kazakhstan with Local Production
GAC Group recently announced the official launch of its flagship hybrid SUV S7 in Kazakhstan. Beyond the introduction of a new model, the launch marks the official implementation of GAC’s KD localized production layout in the country, a key milestone in the brand’s deepening presence in Central Asia and its strategic expansion across the CIS region. GAC has reached a deep strategic partnership with local group ALLUR for localized manufacturing and operations. The launch event featured dynamic test drives across multiple complex road conditions to showcase the model’s chassis tuning and all-wheel-drive performance.

Alongside the flagship S7, GAC also displayed five core production models including the GS3, GS4 MAX, GS8, M8 and EMPOW, covering SUVs, sedans and MPVs. Moving forward, the two parties will accelerate the rollout of local sales and service networks, and continue introducing new models adapted to Central Asia’s road conditions and consumer trends. It is evident that Chinese automakers’ overseas expansion is no longer a one-off transaction – they are making long-term, rooted investments in local markets.
