Momenta (6880.HK) has announced a partnership with XHEART and BlackBerry’s QNX business unit to jointly build a mass-production autonomous driving platform meeting global safety standards. As regulators worldwide tighten requirements for advanced driver-assistance systems, deep integration between underlying software, chips and algorithms has become a critical prerequisite for mass deployment.

Under the collaboration, Momenta contributes full-stack autonomous driving algorithms, XHEART provides its automotive-grade X7 SoC, and QNX supplies the QNX SDP 8.0 safety operating system. The joint solution has obtained TÜV Rheinland ISO 26262 ASIL D certification, the highest level of functional safety. This certification provides a compliance foundation for automakers developing intelligent driving vehicles for international markets, and meets entry requirements of regulated markets such as Europe’s UN R171.
