Long-Wheelbase Mercedes-Benz GLE SUV Rolls Off Line with Momenta R7
On September 1, Beijing Benz announced that the all-new domestically built long-wheelbase Mercedes-Benz GLE SUV had officially rolled off the production line at its Shunyi plant. The model made its public debut at the recent Chengdu Motor Show, and this production milestone brings it one step closer to official launch. Adopting Mercedes-Benz’s latest family design language, the extended wheelbase reaches 3,115mm, with body dimensions of 5,051/2,018/1,784mm. The larger footprint directly translates into superior interior space, with a remarkable improvement in rear legroom.

The interior follows the brand’s latest tech-forward direction, featuring a triple-screen layout with a built-in Doubao AI large model virtual assistant for smooth daily interaction and full functionality. It will also receive the Momenta R7 World Model later, with highly anticipated autonomous driving capabilities. Meanwhile, the rear seats have been lengthened and thickened with optimized cushioning and support, greatly boosting ride comfort over the imported version.
