BYD’s Thailand Plant Rolls Out Its 100,000th EV, Advancing Localization
BYD’s manufacturing facility in Thailand has celebrated the roll‑off of its 100,000th new‑energy vehicle, a BYD ATTO 3, accompanied by a delivery ceremony. As BYD’s first model launched in Thailand, the ATTO 3 witnesses BYD’s transformation from pure export to local in‑country production.

Currently, Thai nationals make up 95% of the plant’s workforce, and local component procurement accounts for about half of total sourcing. Five models have obtained the “Made in Thailand” certification. As production capacity expands, BYD keeps deepening local operations: scaling output, building local supply networks and nurturing domestic automotive talent to integrate into Thailand’s new‑energy industrial ecosystem. More than merely exporting finished vehicles, talent and supply‑chain localization strengthen BYD’s market foothold across Southeast Asia.
