Proton officially announced that the all-new Proton X70 will be launched in Malaysia on January 8. It is reported that the new car will be powered by a 1.5L four-cylinder engine. Positioned as Proton's flagship product in the C-Segment SUV market, the X70 retains its original body dimensions despite the power upgrade. The current model has a length of approximately 4,519mm, width of 1,831mm, height of 1,694mm, and a wheelbase of 2,670mm.In terms of power, the new car adopts a 1.5L four-cylinder turbocharged engine, with maximum output increased from 177 PS and peak torque of 255N·m to 181 PS and 290N·m. It is mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.
