NIO Opens First Center in Costa Rica, First Overseas Tri-Brand Store
Recently, NIO’s first store in Costa Rica—**NIO House San José**—officially opened. Developed in partnership with Horizontes Cielo Azul, NIO’s national distributor in Costa Rica, it is NIO’s first store in Latin America, marking a crucial step into the Americas market. It is also NIO’s first tri-brand store overseas, making Costa Rica the first international market where NIO operates with a three-brand strategy, innovating its overseas business model.

Costa Rican customers can now experience and purchase vehicles from all three NIO brands: NIO ET5 Touring, EL6, EL8; LUXEED L60; and Firefly, covering electric sedans and SUVs across multiple segments to meet diverse local needs. Additionally, the LUXEED L90 will start pre-sales on April 16 at EXPOMOVIL, Costa Rica’s major annual auto show, further expanding the local lineup. By entering Latin America with a multi-brand portfolio combined with localized operations and service, NIO is quickly gaining market traction, laying a solid foundation for further expansion in the Americas and setting an example for Chinese automakers’ multi-brand overseas operations.
