On April 22 at the smart Night, the smart#2 prototype concept car made its global debut in Beijing. Designed by the Mercedes-Benz design team and developed based on an all-new architecture dedicated to ultra-compact models, the official confirmed the production version will be officially launched at this year’s Paris Motor Show. The new car retains the classic design genes of the fortwo, with a body length of only 2.79 meters and the iconic "four wheels at four corners" layout. The front face adopts a closed design common in pure electric models, and the split light group delivers a strong sense of technology when lit.

The minimalist and agile shape, paired with a two-tone floating roof and futuristic wheel rims, gives the car a strong youthful vibe; the round rear taillights echo the front headlights. A two-door hardtop version will be launched initially, with a convertible version expected to be added later. In terms of power, the new car adopts pure electric drive, with a CLTC range of 400 kilometers, supporting DC fast charging (10%-80% in 20 minutes) and vehicle-to-load (V2L) function. With a turning radius of only 6.95 meters, it is extremely flexible for urban commuting.
