BYD Delivers 100,000th NEV in Australia in Under 3.5 Years
BYD has reached a major milestone in the Australian market, with the official delivery of its 100,000th new energy vehicle in the country recently. It is worth noting that BYD only officially entered the Australian market in November 2022, and it took less than three and a half years to break through from 0 to 100,000 deliveries, a growth rate that is a phenomenal performance in the Australian NEV market.

The 100,000th vehicle delivered this time is the BYD Shark 6, which started its first batch of deliveries in Australia in mid-January 2025. The model is equipped with a PHEV system consisting of a 1.5T engine and an electric motor, with a combined output of 430 horsepower and a maximum towing capacity of 2500 kg. It also supports three driving modes: sand, mud and snow, which can adapt to the diverse road conditions in Australia. It has a NEDC comprehensive range of 840 km and a pure electric range of 100 km, which can meet both urban family use and long-distance outdoor travel, making it a popular model in the local market.
