Seres Mass-Produces World’s First Semi-Solid Magnesium Alloy Body Component
Recently, the world’s first mass-produced semi-solid magnesium alloy key body component, jointly developed by Seres and Boao Magnesium Aluminum, officially rolled off the production line, marking a milestone breakthrough in the lightweighting track of new energy vehicles. The component in question is a semi-solid magnesium alloy Cross Car Beam (CCB), which meets the strict requirements of high rigidity and safety for vehicle bodies while significantly reducing weight, directly improving energy efficiency and driving range.

To overcome this technology, the two parties formed a dedicated R&D team that conducted hundreds of intensive tests spanning material formulation, molding process optimization, production line layout and mass production stability. They ultimately broke through multiple industry technical bottlenecks and built an exclusive semi-solid magnesium alloy production line, which now achieves a stable daily output of 1,000 units. The component will first be equipped on AITO series models.
