GAC’s Uruguay Market Share Exceeds 3.5%, Sales Surge 9x YoY
GAC International recently released its latest overseas market results: in April, GAC’s single-month market share in Uruguay’s passenger vehicle market exceeded 3.5%, hitting a record high since entering the local market. Sales performance was particularly impressive, with a year-on-year increase of over 900% and a month-on-month increase of 73%, achieving leapfrog growth.

In terms of market rankings, GAC entered the top 10 overall brands in Uruguay in April, ranking top 5 among Chinese brands and top 5 among pure electric brands. The AION UT became the segment sales champion just 17 days after its launch, accounting for over 60% of GAC’s sales in the country this year, forming a dual-drive pattern with the AION V. Although Uruguay has a small market size, it holds strategic importance, and GAC plans to build it into a core Latin American market within 2-3 years.
