Wuling Indonesia and Grab, a leading Southeast Asian mobility platform, signed a strategic cooperation agreement and completed vehicle delivery in Jakarta. Grab will add a large fleet of Wuling Bingguo electric vehicles to its rental platform for ride-hailing operations. For Wuling, securing an order from a top-tier platform like Grab is a strong endorsement of its localized service capability and product quality. Ride-hailing fleets have strict requirements for vehicle cost, reliability and after-sales support, making the selection process highly demanding.

The two parties adopted a dual-track cooperation model combining direct procurement and platform rental, flexibly catering to both individual driver operators and fleet customers. For ride-hailing drivers, lower operating costs are the biggest advantage of switching to electric vehicles. The Bingguo’s lower energy and maintenance expenses compared to fuel cars can directly boost drivers’ income. For Indonesia as a whole, the large-scale deployment of electric ride-hailing vehicles will also accelerate the adoption of green mobility, creating a win-win outcome for all stakeholders.
